Greece also had a big night. The country had a 1-2 finish in two events. First, Kristian Gkolomeev and Stergios Marios Bilas went 1-2 in the men’s 50 free. Two events later, Apostolos Christou and Evangelos Makrygiannis went 1-2 in the men’s 100 backstroke.

Also having an impressive night was Poland who won two gold medals. Dominika Sztandera won the women’s 50 breaststroke in a 30.55, marking a new Polish National Record. Later in the night, Sztandera helped the women’s 4×100 medley relay to gold and another national record.

After winning its first ever swimming gold last night, Turkey won its second-ever European title as Kunzey Tuncelli won the men’s 1500 free in a 14:55.64.
